background
Launching a fashion brand in this decade means taking responsibility for the well-being of the generations to come. In an industry where news of collapsing textile factories, child labor and growing mountains of discarded fast fashion in the desert have become the norm, a rethink is needed. With this in mind, Counting Memories has set itself the goal of establishing a clothing brand that is part of the solution, not part of the problem.
certificates
Counting Memories textiles are therefore GOTS certified, which means that they meet globally recognized standards for ecological and social criteria in textile production. The ecological criteria include, for example, the use of organically grown fibers, the avoidance of hazardous chemicals and compliance with environmental standards throughout the entire manufacturing process. The social criteria include fair working conditions, fair wages and compliance with workers' rights. Fair Wear
Counting Memories is proud to work with Stanley/Stella, a partner that enables us to source sustainable and ethical textiles. As a member of the Fair Wear Foundation, they pursue the vision of having a positive impact on the lives of the people involved in the value chain and are committed to improving local working conditions through close cooperation with a total of nine selected factories in Bangladesh.
Stanley/Stella sees itself as responsible for constantly monitoring and reporting on the condition of its partner factories and their workers. As a Fair Wear Foundation Leader, they also implement measures such as complaint hotlines for factory workers or educational workshops in which employees are sensitized and informed about their rights.
